Does being gay or lesbian make me an unfit parent in the eyes of the Court

I recently was asked if being gay or lesbian was considered "unfit" in the eyes of the Court. No. Your sexual preference alone would not make you fit or unfit. However, you must tread lightly when children are involved. The Alabama Courts are extremely conservative.
